I came in recently per a referral and I was not disappointed. I ordered 2 sandwiches to go. I was amazed at the size of sandwiches! I ordered the meatball and the caprese. I split the meatball sandwich with my sister. I found just one half of one sandwich was filling, satisfying and delicious. My sis enjoyed her half as well. We kept the 2nd sandwich (caprese) for later and it was delicious and had remained fresh. I loved the cute sitting area and all who worked there were very friendly and welcoming. Very Italian, it made me feel warm and happy to support. I will definitely come back.

I love it here! The food is really great and priced super well! The staff is always friendly and they make FIRE sandwiches. The torpedo is my favorite and the tiramisu is really good and light.

The best bread you'll ever have. Fresh bread gets made here every morning. Came here with my buddy and we each got sandwiches and a pasta. I got the caprease sandwich and it was delicious. Didn't think it was going to be good bc it only came with pesto, mozerllacheese, and tomato and dressing. It was AMAZING !!!! Gave half to my buddy and he enjoyed it. I got the chicken Parmesan Alfredo pasta and it so delicious & creamy. My buddy got the Baja spicy and I had half of it ! It was super flavor, a must try if you like turkey. My buddy also got the beef ravioli and he loved it. Can't wait to come back.

Great little sandwich place! The order was a Southside with spicy giardiniera spread. The meat was amazing (imported from italy) and those spicy peppers were the star of the sandwhich. The aize of the sandwich was massive! The bread was a little bready (not as soft inside as I had hoped). The owner is super friendly and gave me some free frozen bread. I ended up turning that into croutons for salads throughout the week. Parking isn't fantastic when they are busy. If it wasn't so far from my place I would definitely be a regular! Sorry no pics this time.

The BEST sandwiches in the San Diego area! I drive 45mins from Vista just to have a southside! Customer service is amazing; the girls are always super friendly when I go in. Always clean and has a great vibe! Worth the drive and experience; who doesn't love a delicious sandwich and friendly faces greeting you?! Try the SouthSide! It's my go-to.

The woman working here is so friendly and sweet. She spoke to us like we were family. Makes me happy and smile when I see her! We ordered three sandwiches. They are so massive and long. It's as long as finger tips to my elbow. I think we will have left over to bring home and enjoy the next day. It comes with mamas love juice, which I hope they would do bigger containers of for to go in the future. Small shop with minimal seating but it's more of a grab and go place. We are bringing ours to the beach! Got two bags of chips with our sandwiches it came out to be around $36 I believe. Then we ordered one of the San Pellegrino Lemonata and that was ~$3. Sandwiches ordered, lots of bread & nice and soft- all sandwiches come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, thinly sliced onions, and tomatoes. You can specify if you want everything or what you don't want added. - SoHo: Turkey, genoa salami, swiss cheese, tomato & Dijon mustard. This sandwich is delicious with the thinly sliced onions. I liked that they used dijon mustard specifically for this! The Genoa salami was so tasty. - BMH: Capicola, ham, and provolone cheese. This is a basic (aka classic) sandwich for those that don't want to adventure too far from a ham sandwich lunch. It came with an abundance of lettuce. Tastes so good with the mamas love juice dressing! - Southside: Ham, Cotto & Genoa Salami, capicola, Provolone w/ the choice of mild or hot giardiniera. I ordered to have mine with mild giardiniera-- this is an Italian relish! Wish there was more of this throughout the sandwich. I like the array of different cold meats in this sandwich, I always learn about a new meat while ordering here. Got salt and vinegar chips, they tasted great. And also sour cream and onion chips which was also good, but not my preference with sandwiches. The San Pellegrino Lemon flavor drink was super refreshing and fizzy.

Wonderful hidden gem in La Mesa. On this particular day, I was craving a sandwich and decided to google places and landed on this one. I'm so glad I did. I ordered the Tuscany with just mortadella. Huge sandwich with all the fixings and a great Italian dressing on the side to add. Staff is so friendly and the owner is extremely charming and wants his customers to be happy, that's hard to find these days. This is a hole in the wall establishment and they serve dinner and to go premade items. I wish I had decided on eating a cannoli but I was too full to even consider it. This place is a must try if you're in the area.
